Take Two......

Good morning and happy Thursday to everyone!
I am writing to let everyone know that Madison has had TWO nights in a row where she slept 5 or more hours THROUGH THE NIGHT. I realize that I have officially jinxed myself now and I will be up all night tonight but I have to recognize and celebrate her successes as they come!

Pump, Pump and Away

Good morning!
So it is Tuesday and we have officially introduced the bottle to Maddy and she had NO problem sucking it down in a matter of moments. Sarah came over and helped me get everything organized and sat with Clint while he gave Maddy her first bottle (it was his first bottle too). I expected her to refuse it, even just for a moment, but that did not happen. She truly does not care where her meal comes from, as long as she gets is when she wants it. I was of course terrified that she wouldn't want to nurse anymore but I was wrong. Just more new mom paranoia:) She currently has a full belly and is asleep on the couch and that is why the blog is being updated.
We are going to walk tomorrow with her friend Olivia and then on Thursday she is going to Bisk so that all of CLint's coworkers can ooh and awww over how ridiculously cute she is, while we proudly accept the compliments! Then it is off to the zoo on Friday with Kevalin. We are keeping busy....which offers opportunity for more pictures. I will post again later this week with some photos of out outings. In the meantime, have a great week!!!!

Hello...is anyone there?

So if anyone is wondering how new parents entertain themselves during any downtime they might be afforded, Clint is demonstrating for you exactly how we do. Friday I went and got a pump so Clint can give Maddy a bottle at night (while I play catch up on my sleep) and when he walked into the room today and saw it, he immediately put one cup to his ear and the other to his mouth, and said "Hello, operator, can you please connect me to ....." It was HILARIOUS! I had to get a picture to share with everyone. I know it likely isn't as funny on a blog but imagine how funny it was to me (and that is very important)! I am looking forward to his reaction the first time he sees me pump, that should be worthy of another blog posting I am sure.
Maddy met grandma Jeanine and Henry yesterday and unfortunately she was not having her mose angelic day...go figure. BUT....she very much enjoyed their company and can't wait to see her grandma again in just a couple of weeks. Above is a picture of grandma Jeanine and Maddy, looking as adorable as ever.
Thanks for your comments on the site. I love reading what you guys have to say. Christy, tell Kev that Maddy is very excited to have a zoo date with him on Friday. She is glad that I will be done reading The Baby Book to her by then and you can have it back:)
