8 months old

Here is Maddy on her 8 month birthday. She was playing in her exersaucer while I gathered all of her stuff for baby school this morning. She was back on the Maddy/Daddy train today now that Clint is back to work. He had been battling the stomach flu since Sunday but finally turned the corner. Maddy enjoyed being able to sleep in a bit and hang out with her daddy before going to play with her friends. They told me this week that they are working on "gentle touching." Apparently she gets very excited to play with her classmates but doesn't know yet how to be gentle. We are working on it at home with Cailin as well. So the fun begins........

Little Miss Independent

Happy Monday to everyone. I am so glad it is a new week and I am finally feeling better. There is no worse feeling than being sick and unable to take care of Madison in the way I love and she is accustomed. Fortunately I have the greatest husband and friend in the world who both came through for the little munkin.
Madison is starting to investigate everything. She gets all over the place and is rocking on hre hands and knees every moment she gets. Sometimes she loses her balance and face plants on the ground....that never goes over very well as you can imagine. She is a squirmy little worm and unless she is tired or hungry she has no interest in being held. I can't believe that time is already here.....WOW!!!! She is also eating more and more table food and loving that. She thinks noodles and bananas are super fun to play with and pretty fun to eat too.
If the weather gets warmer this week and stays warm, I am going to take her swimming for the first time this weekend. I will be sure to post some pictures as I am sure they will be adorable. I love the one of her here, looking oh so sweet!!!!!
