Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone that reads the blog. It has been an exciting day:) Clint surprised me at work with a singing telegram by a local quartet. It was FABULOUS and romantic and my students got a kick out of it. I have attached a picture of me with the men who sang two lovely songs to me...don't ask me the names because I was in a state of total shock! I know they sounded good and looked very festive and the songs were so sweet they made me cry but I don't know the titles.
Also, we dressed Maddy in her very adorable outfit that Alli bought her and off she went, ready for her Valentine's Day party at school. The picture was taken pretty early so she wasn't very awake, but it is cute anyway. Thanks Alli for the outfit.
I am cooking a fancy dinner for Clint tonight and topping it off with some fondue. That doesn't pale in comparison to what I got but it will be nice to have a dinner together. That is not easy to do these days.
The third picture is too cute so I had to include it. This is a hat that Jeanine bought her for when she is like....two, but we put it on her long enough to get a picture and I thought I would share.
Have a great rest of the week and a Happy Valentine's day.

On the Road Again....

This past weekend we went to Daytona to visit Grandma Nini and Henry and we had a wonderful visit:) Jeanine LOVES to spoil Madison and does a great job at it. I know how blessed my life was/still is because of my grandmother and I am so grateful that Maddy will have the same opportunity with Jeanine. The role of a grandparent has the opportunity to be so powerful and I look forward to watching that relationship take place between them. Henry is equally as smitten by her as the rest of us and although he hasn't been around babies very often, he is a natural. Just look at the picture of the two of them above, too cute. Although we brought Maddy's swing with us, it was more fun to make dinner time a team effort. As you can see, I am holding her, Jeanine is feeding her, Clint is taking a picture and Cailin is having some tummy time in the background...keeping Maddy's blanket warm. I have a great picture of her with carrots ALL OVER her face but I ran out of room. I will post it another time. The picture of Maddy with Teddy is adorable as well. I think they had a secret conversation to see who could have bigger eyes. She was fascinated by him and enjoyed staring at him and touching him as long as she was able to sit up, before facediving into the chair. That is a frequent occurance these days.
The picture of Maddy and Clint is just adorable so I thought I would post it. There are many more pics to come, I will upload again in a couple of days.
We hope you all had an enjoyable weekend; we certainly did!!!!
