Good morning!
So it is Saturday and Maddy is in her trusted swing, awaiting the arrival of her grandma Jeanine and Henry. She has a full belly and has enjoyed a morning walk and some exciting Xbox 360 with her daddy. Yesterday she went to the doctor to see about her seemingly distended belly and she has a diagnosis of infant dyschazia.....a fancy way of saying gas build up. Apparently, she has not quite figured out how to properly pass gas through her little body. Instead of using the muscles we all know to use, she is using her abdominal muscles to accompish the task and that is why she turns bright red and grunts like a man. Her daddy and I kindly show her how to successfully pass gas without rupturing a membrane but she hasn't caught on yet. It is something that could end sponataneaously (which would be great) or could continue until about 3 months. Either way, it was good to find out what is going on and to know that she is okay and normal. While we were there, they weighed her again and she is up to 7 lbs. 2 ounces. This diagnosis is obviously not interfering with her desire to eat:)
Anyway, that is what is happening here in the Huff household. We are looking forward to the weekend with Jeanine and Henry and I am sure we will have updates by the start of the week.
Have a great weekend!

Simply. Adorable.
LOVE your blog, and love that I can keep up with my favorite baby 24-7 :)
The picture of her in the scale captures her active little arms and legs perfectly...I bet she'll be doing triathalons as soon as she can walk! (in which case she can be my trainer)
Looking forward to seeing la pelirrojita (little red head) pronto!
Love,
Carissa

It's so good of you both to set the example for her. Really, such fine parenting from relative rookies! Go team!
